We offer comprehensive design services specializing in hospitality (including short-term rentals (STRs), Airbnbs, boutique hotels, restaurants, and other experiential spaces).

Do you offer full-service, in-person project management?

No, we do not personally offer in-person installation, management, and styling. However, we have trusted partners that we work with who offer this service. Just ask and we'll make the introduction!

We also offer a complimentary video walk-through at the end of every design project, to ensure everything looks perfect for your photos.

What areas do you service?

We work with clients throughout Canada, the U.S., and Mexico—and can support projects internationally through our virtual design services. Since our process is designed to work remotely, your property’s location is rarely a limitation. If you’re unsure, just reach out and we’ll let you know how we can help.

Do you offer design services for personal homes?

Yes, we offer interior design services for personal homes, tailoring each design to fit your style and functional needs.

Virtual Design Packages

What’s included in the design packages?

Our standard design package includes sourcing for all furniture, rugs, decorative lighting, artwork, and accessories—with one-click ordering and access to exclusive designer discounts. You'll also receive paint color selections, space plans, and furniture placement maps to guide setup.

How does the Micro Boost service differ from the other virtual design packages?

Our Micro Boost service is intentionally simple, requiring only pictures and/or videos of your property, no measurements. We take these visuals and create clickable mood boards for each room included in the scope, with furniture and décor linked. Upon ordering, you are responsible for calculating square footage for any wallpaper required, determining the right curtain lengths, confirming sizing of furniture, etc.

Unlike the other virtual design packages, you will not receive an order list or Minoan one-click ordering with the Micro Boost package. For more information, see here: Micro Boost.

How long does a project take?

Our design process takes 7-10 business days, depending on the size and scope of the property. Full installation and setup typically takes 5–6 weeks from start to finish.

What do I need to provide for the design process?

For our Virtual Design, and our Bnb Boost packages, we’ll need photos, measurements, and floor plans. We require a 3D scan of your property, as it’s a quicker, easier way to capture accurate measurements. We’ll provide clear instructions for this.

The Micro Boost service does not require measurements to be provided, and a scan is not needed. However, you will be responsible for providing photos and videos, or floor plans to guide us in creating the mood boards.

How is pricing structured?

We typically charge a flat fee for our virtual design services. For consulting, construction, or new build projects, we may use a combination of flat fee and hourly billing depending on the scope. Since every project is different, we recommend booking a complimentary consult so we can learn more about your needs and provide the best recommendation.

What is the payment schedule for virtual design projects?

For Virtual Design and Bnb Boost packages, the design fee is split into two payments: a 50% deposit to secure your project start date, and the remaining balance due once you approve your mood boards.

For the Micro Boost service, full payment is due upfront before we begin your design.

What additional costs will I be responsible for?

In addition to our service fee, you’ll cover the cost of furniture, décor, and any contractor services such as painters, wallpaper installers, and photographers.

What should I budget for furniture and décor?

A typical budget ranges from $12–$18 per square foot, depending on amenities and location. We focus on delivering high-impact designs that maximize guest experience and profitability.

How does ordering work?

For US-based clients, we use Minoan for one-click ordering. We’ll set up your account, upload your full order list, and once it's quoted, you can approve and purchase everything in one place. Minoan provides itemized receipts for each order, lets you track shipments, manage returns, and get support quickly through their chat team.

For one-off and custom items that aren’t supported by Minoan, we’ll provide easy-to-use purchase links so you can complete those orders separately. Canadian clients will also receive a list of links for ordering as Minoan is currently not available in Canada.

Will I be able to install everything myself?

Yes! Our setup guide is clear and easy to follow, so you can confidently handle the installation yourself.  While many clients hire painters or handymen for convenience, the process is absolutely doable on your own if you’re comfortable.

Design Consulting

What type of projects are best for PWD Consulting?

Our consulting service is ideal for new builds and renovations where design guidance is needed before the furnishing stage. We help refine finishes, layout, and aesthetic direction so every design choice feels intentional.

Do you work with my builder or contractor?

We do not coordinate directly with contractors. We work in parallel, providing design direction that you can share with your team. You will send us photos, material options, or spec sheets, and we will advise on the best choices for your space.

Do you source or order materials?

No. We do not handle procurement. Your contractor or supplier will manage purchasing and installation. We advise on finishes, colors, paint, wallpaper, and materials to ensure harmony and consistency across all selections.

Can you pick finishes for me?

Yes. If your builder or supplier has already narrowed down finish options, we can select final choices that best align with your design vision.

Can you help me present design ideas to my team or builder?

Yes. We can prepare presentation decks or visual summaries for stakeholder, investor, or builder meetings. These materials help communicate the overall design direction clearly without requiring technical construction drawings.

How quickly can I get feedback or deliverables?

We typically fulfill requests within five (5) business days, depending on project scope and our current workload.

Do you offer expedited consulting?

Yes. For urgent or time-sensitive requests, expedited consulting is available at a higher hourly rate, subject to our team’s availability.

How do you bill for consulting?

Our consulting is billed hourly, with invoices issued every 10 hours or 30 days (whichever comes first). You will receive progress updates throughout your project.

Do I need to pay a deposit?

Yes. A deposit is required to reserve time on our schedule and begin consulting. The amount varies based on project scope and is credited toward your first invoice.

What happens when I am ready for the full design phase?

When you are ready to move into furnishings and décor, we will send a separate Design Services Agreement outlining your new scope, flat fee, and next steps.
