Buying These Decor Items? Don't Make These Mistakes!

We've designed countless properties over the years and we know you really can't buy one of these decor products without the others.

1. Buying a washable rug? Though these can be very convenient to clean, and generally run cheaper than thick rugs, they just aren't the same. Invest in an extra thick rug pad to put under - you'll be happy you did.

2. Buying throw pillow covers? Don't forget the inserts! We always recommend sizing one size up from your covers for an extra plush, luxurious look. So, if you're buying 20" x 20" throw covers, opt for 22 x 22" inserts.

3. Buying Peel and stick wallpaper? Though we love the look and convenience of peel and stick (especially for rentals), we've learnt the hard way that it's not always the most user-friendly, and installs can be painful. To make the install process easier, make sure to buy a spray applicator that enables you to move the paper around and line it up with more time to get it perfect. And, don't forget a scraper to get all of the bubbles and extra liquid out after!

4. Buying a neon sign? We love the look of a custom neon sign in hospitality spaces, especially when it enhances your property's theme. But, the cords are an eyesight. To fix this, don't forget paintable cord covers! Install and paint the same color as your walls (or, wallpaper over them) for a seamless look.
